Judith-La-Rocca

Judith La Rocca

Judith was born and brought up in rural Buckinghamshire, and after initially toying with the idea of a career in the Law, decided that travel was more exciting.  After working in a disco in Spain, selling magazine subscriptions in the Netherlands and teaching English as a foreign language in Italy, she got her first job in travel as a resort representative in Romania in the 70s.

The next year she joined a different tour operator and spent 4 happy years living in Sardinia before moving on to such varied destinations as Corfu, Madeira, Tenerife, Morocco and Sorrento, and progressing from Resort Representative, to Head Representative to Area Manager.  After several winter seasons in ski resorts in Switzerland and Italy, Judith started working long haul in such varied destinations as the Maldives, Mexico, Thailand, Egypt and New York.

She escorted her first tour to China in 1991, which was the first of more than 40 visits, and over the years has been lucky enough to act as a Tour Manager on many trips to Australasia, South Africa, South America, Central Asia, India, the Far East, Canada and of course Europe.  She has also run large programmes for a tour operator in Zambia and Zimbabwe.  Judith joined Noble Caledonia in 2003, her first job being on a Baltic Cruise on Sun Bay.   Since then she has worked as Tour Manager on a number of cruises on the Island Sky and Corinthian with various itineraries round the Mediterranean and in the Baltic, river cruises on the Rhine, Danube, Rhone, Elbe and Nile, land tours in Poland and Jordan, hotel stays in Southern Italy, and musical programmes in Venice and Ireland.  She is an all-rounder, but as a fluent Italian speaker she is very happy when working in Italy
